Microfusa is a private school of sound, music production and DJing that began in Barcelona in 1987 and became a school of sound and music technology in 1989. Today it has schools in Barcelona and Madrid, with more than 1,400 square metres of recording studios, DJ booths and other spaces between them, and an online platform; it launched its first virtual campus in 2004. Microfusa also runs music equipment shops in both cities. The Barcelona school is a few minutes from the Sagrada Família, Park Güell and Hospital de Sant Pau.

Courses are practical and taught by working professionals. The school offers diplomas, certificates and courses in various formats and, through agreements with universities and other institutions, access to higher-education qualifications recognised in the European Higher Education Area. It receives students from several countries each year and gives information on shared flats, student residences, the student visa and the student NIE card. A study adviser helps students choose a course, and information is also available in English.
