Osh State University

University, Graduate school in Osh, Kyrgyzstan

Osh State University (OshSU) is a state university in Osh, in southern Kyrgyzstan, with its main campus at 331 Alymbek Datka Street. It offers education at several levels: secondary vocational programmes in its colleges, higher education (specialist and undergraduate degrees), master's degrees and PhD studies.

Teaching is organised in faculties, institutes and colleges, among them:

  • Faculties of Medicine and International Medicine, and a Kyrgyz-Chinese faculty
  • Institutes of Oriental Studies, Philology and Intercultural Communication, and History and Law
  • Institutes of Mathematics, Physics, Engineering and IT, and of Nanotechnology and Artificial Intelligence
  • Institute of Economy, Business and Management
  • Higher School of International Educational Programs
  • Colleges for medicine, finance and law, STEM, agriculture and construction

The university also runs lyceums and gymnasiums, an International Relations Department, an Internship and Career Center and a business park. The College of International Education Programs trains translators in English, Arabic, Korean and Turkish. Tuition fees are published each year, with a separate list for foreign students, and applications go through the Admissions Committee and an online applicant portal.
