Universidad de Granada

University, Graduate school in Granada, Spain

The Universidad de Granada (UGR) is a public university in Granada, Andalusia, founded in 1531. According to the university, it has more than 54,000 students and is the first destination for Erasmus students. Besides Granada, the UGR has campuses in Ceuta and Melilla.

Its programmes include official bachelor's degrees (grados), master's degrees and doctoral programmes, as well as the university's own qualifications (enseñanzas propias). Other teaching units include the Centro de Lenguas Modernas, the Centro Mediterráneo, the Confucius Institute and summer courses in Ceuta and Melilla. Access and pre-registration for official bachelor's and master's degrees are handled by the Access, Admission and Permanence Service, while the International Postgraduate School manages access to doctoral studies and the university's own courses.

Public fees per credit are set by the Andalusian regional government (Decree 98/2023). Students can apply for Ministry of Education grants, the UGR's own scholarships (Plan Propio) and mobility grants through the Vice-Rectorate for Internationalisation. The university's Accommodation Service collects housing offers for the university community, and the Employment and Placement Centre manages curricular, extracurricular and international work placements.
