The Cursos de Español como Lengua Extranjera (ELE) are the Spanish courses for foreign students run by the Universidad de Zaragoza in Zaragoza. The courses are accredited by the Instituto Cervantes, which renewed the accreditation in December 2024. Besides the courses in Zaragoza, the university holds summer Spanish courses in Jaca; the 98th edition of these summer courses, in 2025, brought together students of more than 25 nationalities.

Registration for the 2026-27 academic year is done with a form that must include a photograph and a copy of the applicant's passport or national ID card. The course fee is paid by bank transfer once admission has been confirmed. A refund is only possible if a course is cancelled at least 30 days before it starts (15 days for intensive courses). The course office is open Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 14:00, and in-person visits require an appointment.

Admission
Applicants fill in the registration form, attaching a photograph and a copy of their passport or national ID card (DNI). Once the university confirms admission to the chosen course, the fee is paid by bank transfer; applicants to the teacher training course must not pay before receiving this confirmation. Cancelling a registration costs 16% of the total course fee.
