Yuan Ze University

Yuan Ze University (YZU) is a private university in Zhongli District, Taoyuan City, in northern Taiwan. In the 2026 CommonWealth (天下) University Citizenship Awards it placed second among large private universities. The university has made an AI programming course compulsory for all first-year students.

YZU admits students at several levels:

• Bachelor's degree programmes
• Master's degree programmes, including in-service master's programmes for working professionals
• Doctoral programmes
• Programmes of the International Academy and New English Programs

The international admissions route covers foreign students, overseas Chinese students and students from mainland China. The New English Programs combine academic study with links to industry and opportunities for internships abroad, and the university promotes bilingual education. Students can live on campus, and nearly 50 student clubs and organisations are active. Most of the admissions and registration pages are in Chinese.
