Accent Français

Accent Français is a French language school in Montpellier, in the south of France, which has organised French courses and language stays since 1998. It is registered with the Rectorate of the Academy of Montpellier as a private institution of higher education and has held the FLE Quality label, awarded by the French ministries of education and foreign affairs, since 2012. The school is accredited under Erasmus+ and is an examination centre for the DELF and DALF. Its students come from more than 80 countries.

Adult courses start every Monday, except for complete beginners, who start on set dates. The school arranges accommodation with French hosts living no more than 45 minutes away, in furnished studios in student residences or in serviced tourist residences, and runs cultural activities and excursions in Montpellier and the Occitanie region. Classrooms and common areas are on the ground floor and adapted for accessibility.

Course fees for 2026, per week (1-4 weeks / 5-8 weeks / 9 weeks or more / 20 weeks or more):
- Standard course: €280 / €260 / €240 / €185
- Intensive course: €380 / €360 / €340 / €285
- Super-intensive course: €580 / €560 / €540
Registration fee: €80. Accommodation is charged separately.
Deadlines
Courses start every Monday in 2026, except for complete beginners, who start on 5 January, 16 March, 1 June, 6 July, 3 August, 7 September or 12 October 2026. The school is closed from 18 December 2026 to 3 January 2027. Accommodation should be booked at least four weeks in advance, or at least eight weeks in high season (May to September).
Housing
Accent Français books accommodation for its students:
- Homestay with a French host, with half board, breakfast only or a room with kitchen access; hosts live no more than 45 minutes from the school
- Private furnished studio in a student residence
- Studio or flat in a tourist residence with hotel services
Arrival is on Sunday and departure on Saturday. Homestay hosts provide free airport or station transfers with at least one week's notice, special diets can be arranged, and hosts accompany under-age students to school on the first day.
