Alaska Pacific University (APU) is a small liberal arts college based in Anchorage, Alaska. The school has a special focus on experiential and active learning. Furthermore, the university is a member of the Eco League - a group of five small universities and colleges with strong programs in Psychology and Environmental Studies. Alaska Pacific University offers a special Early Honors Program, which acts as both an alternative to the senior year in high school and a prep year for college. Another interesting fact about the college is that campus undergraduates can enjoy active learning, personal attention, journeys, travel courses, the Eco League and the Senior Project. The university strives to spread the spirit of adventure throughout all of the academic areas taught at the school - Business, Psychology, Earth Sciences, Education, Environmental Science, Liberal Studies, Marine Biology, Environmental Studies, and Outdoor Studies.
