The University of Alaska Fairbanks (UAF) is a research university in Fairbanks, Alaska (United States), established in 1917. It is the northernmost land-, sea- and space-grant institution in the country and has 7,486 students from 52 states and territories and 51 countries, with a 12:1 student-faculty ratio. Its main Troth Yeddha' Campus covers 2,250 acres, and regional campuses serve Kotzebue, Bethel, Nome and Dillingham; many degrees can also be taken online.

UAF describes itself as a world leader in climate change and Arctic research, and according to the university Times Higher Education ranked it 10th among the world's best small universities. Programmes range from accounting to Yup'ik language and culture, including engineering, archaeology, business and the arts, and some bachelor's and master's degrees can be combined in accelerated pathways.

International applicants meet the same requirements as domestic students plus proof of English proficiency (for example TOEFL 79 or IELTS 6.5) and a course-by-course credential evaluation. The deadline is 1 March for the fall semester and 1 September for spring. International student advisors help with immigration documents, and on-campus housing is recommended. UAF states that from fall 2027 all students will pay the in-state tuition rate regardless of where they come from.
