American College is a private higher-education college in Nicosia, Cyprus. It was founded in 1975 by Kyriacos Americanos as Americanos Tutors, was renamed Americanos College in 1984 and took its current name in 2009. The college is registered with the Ministry of Education of Cyprus as a private school of higher education. Its bachelor's degree in Business Administration with an Accounting specialisation, for example, is accredited by the Cyprus Agency of Quality Assurance and Accreditation in Higher Education (CYQAA) and gives exemption from 9 of the 13 ACCA examinations.
Most programmes are taught in English and a few in Greek. The college offers certificates, diplomas, bachelor's and master's degrees in:
- Business: Accounting, Business Administration, Digital Marketing, Office Management
- Hospitality and tourism: Culinary Arts, Hotel Management, Tourism Management
- Science and engineering: Computer Science, Computer and Network Technician
- Master in Business Administration, also by distance education
Curricula are based on ECTS credits, and the college holds the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education 2021-2027. Undergraduate applicants need a recognised secondary school leaving certificate, and English-taught programmes require proof of English, for example IELTS 5.0 or TOEFL iBT 71. Morning or evening classes are available. The accommodation service helps students find rooms in hostels or private apartments within walking distance of the college.

The college offers a Master in Business Administration (MBA), first run in 2005, with specialisations in Management, Marketing, Hospitality Management and Human Resource Management. A distance-education MBA, accredited by the Cyprus Agency of Quality Assurance and Accreditation in Higher Education in 2017, is taught online and can be followed from any country.
- Certificate, diploma and bachelor's programmes: a recognised secondary (high) school leaving certificate (12 or 11 years of education, depending on the country) or equivalent, such as GCE A levels
- Master's programmes: the same school certificate plus a recognised bachelor's degree or equivalent
Applicants also need proof of proficiency in the language of instruction (English or Greek).
Most programmes are taught in English. Accepted proof of English includes:
- IELTS: average score of at least 5.0
- TOEFL iBT: at least 71
- Password Skills Test Plus: at least 5.5
- IGCSE English as a second language: grade D or higher
- Anglia Intermediate General English: pass
For the few programmes taught in Greek, accepted proof includes a Greek-language school leaving certificate, the state certificate in Modern Greek at level B2 or IGCSE Modern Greek at grade C or higher. Other qualifications can be checked with the Office of Admissions.
The college runs an accommodation service open to all its students. It gives advice on housing and provides an up-to-date list of suggested places and of estate agencies. Options include rooms in hostels and private apartments or houses within walking distance of the college.
