Bahía Montessori International School

Bahía Montessori International School is a Montessori school in El Puerto de Santa María (Cádiz) for children aged 3 to 12, from a range of countries. It is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) and authorised by the Andalusian regional education authority as a foreign private school (centro privado extranjero). It is also a Labschool of the Positive Discipline Association and a member of the Asociación Montessori Española (AME).

Teaching follows Maria Montessori's approach, with a personalised curriculum for each child, and assessment is based on observation. There are two stages:

• Casa de niños (early years), up to 30 children with at least three adults
• Taller (primary), groups of up to 30 children with at least two adults

The school aims for bilingualism in English and Spanish. The school day runs from 9:00 to 14:00, with optional early care from 8:00 and lunch until 15:00. After primary, pupils can move on to any public or private secondary school in the Spanish or American system.

An open day is held during the enrolment period in March, and families can request a personal visit. Applications are made through a link provided by the school; current students and their siblings have priority.
