El Centro Inglés

El Centro Inglés (ECI) is a private bilingual school in El Puerto de Santa María, in the province of Cádiz (Andalusia). It opened on 27 October 1969 and is still a family school: since 2008 its General Director has been David Randell, son of the founder. The authorisation to teach the former EGB stage in bilingual mode was published in the Official Bulletin in 1973 and 1974. In September 2026 the school introduced a new identity as an International Family School.

Teaching is organised in four stages:

• Early Years
• Junior School
• Senior School
• Sixth Form

ECI has been a member of the Council of International Schools (CIS) since 2021, and its history page lists CIS International School recognition and the Duke of Edinburgh International Award in 2025. It holds the EFQM 500+ seal and has been recognised as a Microsoft Elevate Showcase School for the 2026-27 academic year. The Looking to the Future building, opened in 2018, has spaces for debate, robotics and reading, and the school offers complementary and extracurricular activities.
