Escuela Oficial de Idiomas El Puerto de Santa María
Language school in El Puerto de Santa Maria, Spain
The Escuela Oficial de Idiomas El Puerto de Santa María is a public official language school on the Carretera de Sanlúcar in El Puerto de Santa María (Andalusia). Its courses are aimed mainly at adults and follow the official levels Básico A1 and A2, Intermedio B1 and B2 and Avanzado C1 and C2. Four languages are taught: German, Spanish as a foreign language (Español como Lengua Extranjera, ELE), French and English.
The Spanish department teaches only in the classroom (presencial) modality and offers Nivel Básico A1 and A2. Classroom groups have four and a half hours of teaching per week, and the school describes its Spanish classes as practical and communicative, focused on everyday situations such as asking for information or dealing with paperwork. For other languages the school also runs blended (semipresencial) and distance (online) courses, refresher courses for teachers (CAL) and the enseñanza libre route, in which candidates only sit the certification exams.
Admission for the 2026-27 year ran from 1 to 20 May 2026, with enrolment from 1 to 10 July 2026. For remaining Spanish places in 2026-27, the school asks applicants to email it with their name, ID, NIE or passport number, mobile phone and date of birth; this notice is published in several languages, including English.
