Bryant University is a university in Smithfield, Rhode Island (United States), a few minutes from Providence and with easy access to Boston and New York. Founded in 1863 as a business school, it became a university in 2004, when it added programmes in health sciences, communication, data science and other fields.

Teaching is organised in three colleges, with an interdisciplinary curriculum that links business, the liberal arts and the sciences:

  • College of Business
  • College of Health and Behavioral Sciences
  • College of Humanities and Social Sciences

Undergraduates combine a major and a minor, with more than 250 possible combinations, and experiential learning is built into the curriculum. Graduate programmes cover business, healthcare and the arts and sciences.

Students come from 46 countries. International applicants use the Common App, and SAT/ACT scores are optional, but an English test is required. All new students are considered for academic scholarships when they apply. Bryant has 17 residence halls, from first-year halls and suites to townhouse-style apartments; housing is available for all four years and 85% of undergraduates live on campus.
