The Cégep du Vieux Montréal (CVM) is a college (cégep) in central Montreal, Quebec, Canada, on rue Ontario Est. In Quebec, cégeps are part of higher education: two-year pre-university programmes prepare for university, and three-year technical programmes lead to employment while also giving access to university. Both lead to the diplôme d'études collégiales (DEC). CVM also runs continuing education, including AEC programmes and French language courses (francisation).
Of its 52 programmes, profiles and options in regular education, 18 are open to international students, all in the technical stream:
- Industrial maintenance and electrical engineering technology (automation and control)
- Early childhood education, special education and recreation management
- Financial services and insurance, and computer science
- Graphic arts: presentation design and photography
- Classical and contemporary dance
- Crafts (métiers d'art): textiles, cabinetmaking, jewellery, guitar making, leatherwork and glass
Teaching is in French, and applicants who did not study in French in Quebec take a French admission test. International students apply through the SRAM; French students pay the same tuition as Quebec students under a France-Quebec agreement. Many programmes include internships and trips in Quebec and abroad, and support services include intercultural mentoring. According to the college, in 2021 it became one of the first colleges to reach carbon neutrality.

International applicants (living outside Canada without Canadian residence rights) need a diploma equivalent to the Quebec secondary school diploma (DES); some programmes also require prerequisite courses, usually mathematics, physics or chemistry. Applications are made through the SRAM, which carries out a comparative evaluation of studies abroad for a CA$85 fee. The college replies within three to eight weeks. Some programmes add selection steps (drawing test for animation, audition and summer course for classical dance). Admitted students pay international tuition, then apply for a Quebec Acceptance Certificate (CAQ) and a study permit.
Teaching is in French. Applicants who did not complete their studies in French in Quebec must show sufficient command of French by taking an admission test; the college contacts the applicants concerned.
International applications for the autumn 2027 intake open on 17 August 2026 on the SRAM website.
