McGill University is a public university in Montreal, Quebec, founded in 1821. Its main downtown campus is at 845 Sherbrooke Street West, and the university also has the Macdonald campus. International students from more than 150 countries make up nearly 30% of the student body. In the QS World University Rankings 2027, McGill is placed 30th in the world, according to the university.
The programme offer covers:

Students from Quebec may submit their work in French or English. International students have dedicated advising and services, and McGill students can take part in study abroad. Housing is guaranteed for all first-year undergraduate students, and more than 3,000 students live in the university's residences each year. The university also offers scholarships and financial aid.

McGill offers more than 300 undergraduate programmes of study, organised as bachelor's degrees with majors, minors and specialisations. The School of Continuing Studies adds certificates, diplomas and in-person or online courses for adult and professional learners.
McGill offers 450 graduate and postdoctoral programmes in more than 80 departments, covering master's degrees, PhDs and postdoctoral research. Executive education for working professionals is offered by the McGill Executive Institute.
McGill guarantees housing for all first-year undergraduate students, and more than 3,000 students live in its residences each year, including residences on the Macdonald campus.
