The groundwork of Concordia University was laid down in 1974 by merging Loyola College and Sir George Williams University. Concordia University is located in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Concordia has two campuses: Sir George William campus near downtown and Loyola campus in the residential area of Notre Dame-de-Grace. The four major departments in Concordia are Arts & Science, Engineering & Computer Science, Fine Arts and the School of Business (John Molson) which covers more than 180 undergraduate programs. There is an option of co-operative component in many courses which allows students to work during studies. Furthermote, Concordia University comprises of five subsidiaries; Liberal Arts College, Loyola College for Diversity and Sustainability, School of Public Affairs, College of Science and Simone de Beauvoir Institute. Quartier Concordia is a place where new and innovative ideas are exchanged to make public places, student life on campus as well as transportation greener. Concordia also offers study abroad programs worldwide while paying the same tuition fees.
