Centro Italiano Firenze is a private school of Italian language and culture for foreign students in Florence, Italy. It is also a cultural centre for both Italians and foreigners, with courses in art and traditional crafts, and in photography, design and multimedia, taught by professionals such as photographers, graphic designers, painters, sculptors, video makers and craftspeople.

Italian courses are offered at all levels, as private lessons or in groups, and can be adapted to groups of different ages and language levels. The programme includes:

  • CILS exam preparation
  • Internships in Florence

The school also gives information on academic credits and scholarships. A booking requires a non-refundable advance payment of €150; students who need a study visa pay the whole course in advance. The school arranges accommodation in rooms in private homes, shared student apartments, bed and breakfasts, independent apartments and hotels.

Centro Italiano arranges accommodation in Florence:

  • Single or double rooms with Florentine families, with breakfast or half board and use of the kitchen
  • Single or double rooms in apartments shared with other students, with use of the kitchen
  • Bed and breakfast rooms in the centre or nearby suburbs
  • Independent apartments, rented weekly or monthly
  • Hotels in the city centre, near the school

Stays run from Sunday arrival to Saturday departure. Homestay addresses are sent about one week before the course starts, and rent can be paid to the landlord or at the school office.
