Chaminade University of Honolulu

Chaminade University of Honolulu is a Catholic university in Honolulu, on the island of Oahu, Hawaii. It was founded in 1955 by five Marianists and describes itself as the only Catholic university in Hawaii and one of three Marianist higher-education institutions in the United States. Students come from Hawaii, the US mainland, the Pacific region and beyond.

Five degree-granting schools offer more than 25 undergraduate and graduate programmes, leading to bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees:

• Natural Sciences and Mathematics
• Nursing and Health Professions

Graduate options include an EdS in School Psychology and doctoral programmes in educational psychology and organisational leadership (EdD), marriage and family therapy (DMFT), nursing practice (DNP) and clinical psychology (PsyD). Undergraduate degrees can also be studied in a flexible online format. Classes are small, and students take part in service learning, research and internships.

First-year applicants can apply with the Chaminade Application or the Common App; applications for fall 2027 entry are open. According to the university, nearly $15 million in financial aid goes to more than 97% of its undergraduate students.
