Ciao Italia is a small Italian language school in Rome that specialises in teaching Italian to foreigners. It was founded in 1996 and is open all year round, with courses for every level from beginner to advanced. The school is a PLIDA certification centre, recognised as an exam venue for the PLIDA Italian language certificates.
- Group courses: standard, intensive, extensive and conversation
- Preparation for the CELI, CILS and PLIDA exams
- Individual lessons, including Italian for business
- Italian courses for companies
- Italian art history, opera singing and amateur cooking courses
Standard courses consist of four 50-minute lessons a day from Monday to Friday, usually in the morning, for a minimum of one week. Groups have a maximum of 12 students from different countries. The school organises social and cultural activities such as tours guided by an art historian and discounted tickets for theatre, opera, ballet and concerts. On request, it books accommodation with a family or in an apartment shared with other students for those taking a Standard or Intensive course. Scholarships and discounts are available, and an online test helps students find their level.
