Coeur de France Ecole de Langues is a French immersion language school in Sancerre, a hilltop wine town in the Loire Valley about two hours south of Paris. The school is housed in La Thaumassière, a 16th-century château, with classrooms on the ground floor and student apartments on the upper floors. It specialises in programmes for adults, couples and families, and teaches all levels from beginner to advanced. Students are 16 or older, except children taking part in the family or children's programmes (from age 6).

Programmes last from one to eight weeks; group levels run as two-week modules. Classes take place Monday to Friday, alternating mornings and afternoons, and combine classroom work with practice in the village and optional excursions to wineries, farms and châteaux. Most students book 8 to 10 months ahead for spring and summer. Prices are given on request, after a placement test for non-beginners. The school rents private self-catering apartments in the château or within a short walk.

Housing
Coeur de France rents its own private apartments to students, with no roommates: a studio and one- and two-bedroom apartments in the La Thaumassière château, and further apartments of one to four bedrooms within a 1 to 10 minute walk. All are self-catering (no meals), with a private bathroom, fully equipped kitchen, washing machine and dryer, linen, TV and wifi. Stays run from the Saturday before the programme to the Saturday after it. The apartment is chosen at registration and paid with the tuition fees, and resident students receive a tuition discount.
