Baruch College is part of the City University of New York (CUNY) and is located at 55 Lexington Avenue (at 24th Street) in Manhattan. It traces its history to the Free Academy, founded in 1847 as the first free public college in the United States. The college has more than 19,700 students from 155 countries, including about 1,600 international students; according to the college, U.S. News & World Report consistently ranks it in the top 10 for "most international students".

Baruch offers 29 undergraduate majors, 60 minors, 56 graduate-level specialisations and two doctoral specialisations through three schools:

  • Zicklin School of Business: AACSB-accredited BBA, MBA, MS, Executive MBA and PhD programmes
  • Weissman School of Arts and Sciences: BA, BS, MA and MS degrees in more than 50 areas of study
  • Marxe School of Public and International Affairs: BSPA, MPA, Executive MPA, MIA and MS in Education

An International Student Service Center supports students from abroad. Undergraduates apply through the CUNY Application, and Baruch admits students on a rolling basis.
