DePauw University is a private residential liberal arts college in Greencastle, Indiana (United States), 45 minutes from Indianapolis, with about 1,900 students and a student-to-faculty ratio of 10:1. Teaching is organised in three schools: the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, the Creative School and the School of Business and Leadership, which together offer more than 75 areas of study. In the 2027 U.S. News & World Report rankings DePauw is listed 12th among Most Innovative Colleges, according to the university.
Students can join honors and fellows programmes (Honor Scholar, Media, Management, Environmental, Science Research and Global Studies Fellows) and take a four-week winter term in January for research, internships, study abroad or service. According to DePauw, 90% of students study abroad and 84% complete at least one internship.
Students from more than 40 countries study at DePauw, and nearly 20% of each incoming class is international. International applicants use the Common Application, the Coalition Application or DePauw's own application; there is no application fee and admission is test-optional. Applicants whose first language is not English submit TOEFL, IELTS or Duolingo scores. All applicants are automatically considered for merit scholarships from US$20,000 to full tuition; international students applying for need-based aid may need the CSS Profile.

More than 75 areas of study (majors and minors) in a liberal arts and sciences curriculum, organised in three schools:
- College of Liberal Arts and Sciences
- The Creative School (including the Institute of Music)
- School of Business and Leadership
Honors and fellows programmes open to all majors: Honor Scholar, Media Fellows, Management Fellows, Environmental Fellows, Science Research Fellows, Global Studies Fellows and the Information Technology Associates Program. A four-week winter term in January is used for research, internships, study abroad or service.
International first-year applicants submit:
- The Common Application, Coalition Application or DePauw Application (no application fee)
- School transcripts for the last four years of secondary school (at least three if still in school), sent directly by the school
- Official results of national or board examinations, if taken
- Certified English translations of documents not in English
- One letter of recommendation
- TOEFL, IELTS or Duolingo scores if English is not the first language
ACT or SAT scores are optional. Admitted students must provide proof of graduation and a final official transcript.
All applicants, including international students, are automatically considered for merit scholarships from US$20,000 to full tuition, with no separate application. Competitive premier awards include the Edward G. Rector Scholarship (full tuition). Through the DePauw Promise, the university meets 100% of calculated financial need for incoming first-year students from autumn 2026; international students applying for need-based aid may need to complete the CSS Profile.
