Academias ISA

Escuela de Moda ISA (Academias ISA), which also presents itself as the Escuela Internacional de Diseño y Moda ISA, is a private fashion school in Madrid. According to the school, it has been teaching fashion design courses in Madrid for more than forty years. Its courses cover the whole process from design and illustration to haute couture dressmaking and industrial pattern-making and size grading, combining theory with practical work.

• Curso Superior de Moda and fashion design and illustration
• Industrial pattern-making and grading, including computer-aided pattern-making
• Haute couture dressmaking (corte y confección en alta costura) and handmade tailoring
• Industrial garment making and styling
• Specialised design courses: accessories, lingerie, menswear, children's wear, jewellery, and theatre, film and television
• One-year master's programmes (the school's own qualifications) in fashion design, pattern-making and haute couture

Courses are taught in standard or intensive format, in separate modules and at each student's own pace, and there are refresher courses for professionals and craft courses such as beading, fabric painting, fabric flowers and hat-making. Qualifications are the school's own: the haute couture course, for example, lasts two and a half academic years and ends with a private certificate stating the hours completed. Enrolment is open all year.
