ESDIP - Escuela Superior de Dibujo Profesional Comunicación e Imagen

ESDIP (Escuela Superior de Dibujo Profesional) is an art school in Madrid specialising in animation, illustration, comics, video games, graphic design and tattoo art. Its origins go back to 1981, and its first class was taught on 3 October 1983 under the name Escuela Taller Fastasma; the school states that it was the first professional animation school in Spain. ESDIP describes itself as an international art school with centres in Madrid and Berlin, and its main Madrid site is at Calle Magallanes 25.

Its courses are designed to cover training that university degrees do not offer, and can be taken online, in person or in a personalised format:

• Diplomas (diplomaturas) and master's programmes of one to three years
• One-year professional courses
• 2D and 3D animation, illustration, comics and video game courses
• Graphic and web design and tattoo courses
• Summer intensives and workshops
• Drawing courses for children aged 10 to 14

Classes run in the morning, afternoon or on Saturdays. Facilities include an auditorium, exhibition rooms, a coworking space, a film production company and a publishing house, and since 2000 animation students have made one short film every year.
