The Escuela Oficial de Idiomas Puerta de la Mar (EOI Marbella) is a public language school of the Junta de Andalucía in Marbella, located in the Edificio Feria on Calle Alfredo Palma. It teaches German, Arabic, Spanish, French, English and Russian, leads to official certificates and offers classroom, blended (semipresencial) and distance courses.
Its Spanish department runs official Spanish courses following the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR), with a choice between intensive four-month courses and year-long courses; timetables for the 2026-27 school year are published on the department page. Spanish for foreigners at Básico A1 and A2 also has a second-term intake with its own admission period. Other languages are taught from A1 to C2 in English, A1 to C1 in French, A1 to B2 in German and A1 to A2 in Arabic, and the school also teaches English up to B2.1 at the Rosa Verde adult education centre in San Pedro de Alcántara.
Students must apply for a place before enrolling, at the school or online through the Junta de Andalucía's Secretaría Virtual, with a copy of their DNI, NIE or passport and, where relevant, a certificate of the level that gives access to the course. Admitted students can take a placement test. Those who missed the main application period can register their interest through an online form and are contacted if places remain.
