Swans International Primary School

Primary and secondary school in Marbella, Spain

Swans International School is a school in Marbella, in the province of Málaga, which first opened in 1971. It teaches children from the age of three to eighteen on two sites. The original villas are still part of the modern primary school building in Urb. El Capricho, while Years 6 to 13 have been taught since 2006 in a purpose-built school in Sierra Blanca, below La Concha mountain. Across both sites, pupils come from more than fifty nationalities, and the school states that many of its teachers have been there for more than a decade.

The school is organised in four stages:

  • Foundation Stage, ages 3 to 5
  • Primary School, ages 5 to 11
  • Secondary School, ages 11 to 16, with a broad GCSE curriculum
  • Sixth Form, ages 16 to 18, with the International Baccalaureate

An enrichment programme outside the standard academic curriculum teaches life skills. Families can arrange a visit to the school through its admissions page. The primary school is at Urb. El Capricho, s/n, 29602 Marbella (tel. +34 952 773 248), and the secondary school at C/ Lago de los Cisnes, s/n, also in Marbella.
