The Escuela Oficial de Idiomas de Puerto de la Cruz is an official language school in Puerto de la Cruz (Santa Cruz de Tenerife province, Canary Islands). It is located in the Polígono del Tejar, in the building of the IES Agustín de Betancourt. It teaches English, German and Spanish, and also runs specialisation courses; for 2026-27 it advertised conversation courses.
The Spanish department publishes its own syllabus (programación), textbook list for 2026-27 and model papers for the official certification exams. New students begin in the first year of the school (A2.1); those who want to join at a higher level without a language certificate must take the placement test (prueba de clasificación).
For 2026-27, pre-registration (preinscripción) ran from 8 April to 18 May 2026 through the Canary Islands Consejería de Educación's online application generator, with the written part of the placement test on 2 June 2026. Admitted students enrolled from 24 June to 10 July 2026, in person at the school or by email with copies of their DNI or NIE, health card, photo and proof of fee payment, and an extraordinary enrolment period ran from 1 to 16 September. Classes began in September 2026.

Admission
New students, and those who were not enrolled at an official language school in the current year, apply for a place during pre-registration (for 2026-27: 8 April to 18 May 2026) through the Consejería de Educación's online application generator, logging in with their DNI or NIE.
To join above the first year (A2.1) without a language certificate, applicants request the placement test and pay its fee with Modelo 700. Admitted students enrol in person or by email (2026: 24 June to 10 July) with ID, health card, photo and proof of payment.
Fees
For the 2026-27 school year the school lists these costs: placement test (prueba de clasificación) 19.18 €, paid with Modelo 700; photocopy voucher 10 € for one language or 14 € for two. Tuition fees (tasas, Modelo 700) are the Canary Islands rates for 2026, with discounts and exemptions for documented cases; the amounts are linked from the school's enrolment page.
