Iriarte Centro Universitario

Vocational school in Puerto de la Cruz, Spain

Iriarte Centro Universitario is a higher education centre in Puerto de la Cruz, in the north of Tenerife (Canary Islands), with more than 30 years of history. It is recognised by the Canary Islands Department of Education and the Spanish Ministry of Education to teach official Técnico Superior (FP Grado Superior) qualifications. It also offers three-year official university degrees and European master's programmes (the school's own qualification, run with partner European universities).

The FP Grado Superior cycles focus on business and tourism:

  • Administración y Finanzas
  • Gestión de Eventos
  • Guía Turístico
  • Marketing y Publicidad

Each cycle lasts two academic years (2,000 hours) and is taught on campus, Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 14:00, with a virtual classroom for support. Teaching is in Spanish and English, plus German in Gestión de Eventos and Guía Turístico. Students do work placements from the first year and can spend part of their training at European partner institutions through Erasmus+; the school lists 80 partner universities in 27 countries. Students come from more than 25 nationalities, and annual English certificate courses (B1, B2, C1) are included. A Ciclo Superior gives direct access to university degrees.

Places can be reserved all year, and the school has several partner flats for incoming students in Puerto de la Cruz.
