The Escuela Superior de Arte Dramático de Málaga (ESAD Málaga) is a public drama school in Málaga, part of the Enseñanzas Artísticas Superiores and run by the Consejería de Desarrollo Educativo y Formación Profesional of the Junta de Andalucía. It began in 1947 as a section of the city's Conservatorio Superior de Música, became independent of the music conservatory in 1988 and separated from the dance conservatory in 1995. Since September 2009 it has had its own new building in the Teatinos area, next to the university campus.

Graduates obtain the Título de Grado en Enseñanzas Artísticas Superiores de Arte Dramático, which is equivalent in all respects to a university bachelor's degree. The school offers four official degrees, corresponding to four itineraries within two specialities:

  • Stage Direction and Dramaturgy: Dirección Escénica, Dramaturgia
  • Interpretation (acting): Interpretación Musical, Interpretación Textual

Applicants need the Bachillerato, a higher arts, university or Técnico Superior qualification, a recognised equivalent, or a pass in the university entrance exam for people over 25, and must pass the specific entrance test for their chosen speciality. Holders of foreign qualifications can apply with proof that recognition (homologación) has been requested.
