The Escuela Superior de Diseño de Aragón (ESDA) is a centre of higher arts education in design in Zaragoza, within the European Higher Education Area. It was founded in 2003, when it separated administratively from the Escuela de Arte de Zaragoza, whose roots go back to the Escuela de Artes Aplicadas y Oficios Artísticos inaugurated on 17 October 1895. Since 2009 it has occupied a modern building by the architect Joaquín Sicilia on Avenida de María Zambrano, a five-minute walk from the Plaza del Pilar.
ESDA teaches Enseñanzas Artísticas Superiores de Diseño, regulated by Royal Decree 633/2010. Its degrees are at level 2 of the Spanish higher education framework in four specialities:
- Graphic Design
- Product Design
- Interior Design
- Fashion Design
At level 3 the school has two approved official professional master's degrees, including the Master's in Spatial and Graphic Creativity Strategies in Ephemeral Installations. Admission is through an entrance test, open to holders of the Bachillerato, a Técnico Superior qualification or the university entrance exam for over-25s, or by direct access for graduates of advanced vocational cycles in Plastic Arts and Design. ESDA offers Erasmus+ study and traineeship mobility, has bilateral Erasmus agreements with European art and design schools and receives incoming Erasmus students.

Graduate programmes
ESDA has two approved official professional master's degrees at level 3 of the Spanish higher education framework (MECES), including the Master's in Spatial and Graphic Creativity Strategies in Ephemeral Installations (Máster en Estrategias de Creatividad Espacial y Gráfica en Instalaciones Efímeras).
Admission
There are two ways into the design degrees:
- Entrance test: for holders of the Bachillerato or a Técnico Superior qualification, or of the university entrance exam for over-25s; applicants can register for up to two specialities in order of preference
- Direct access: for graduates of advanced vocational cycles (ciclos formativos de grado superior) in Plastic Arts and Design
Foreign applicants register with a passport or residence permit. The school publishes example tests for each speciality.
