Estudi de Dansa THAIS

Thais Dansa is a dance school in Vic, in the Osona district of Catalonia, founded in 1982 as Estudi de Dansa Thaïs and directed by Cristina Piferrer since 2010. The school states that it is the only dance school in Osona authorised by the Department of Education of the Generalitat de Catalunya, and since 2015 it has been a member of the Associació d'Escoles de Dansa Autoritzades de Catalunya (AEDA). This allows its students to have credits recognised in their general (non-dance) studies.

Students can start with an introduction to dance and go on to ten different styles, whether they want to prepare for a professional career or simply dance for pleasure:

• Introduction to dance (ages 3 to 5)
• Classical ballet (Vaganova method) and pointe work
• Jazz and contemporary dance (Graham, Limón and Release techniques)
• Hip hop, ragga, mix style, sexy style and commercial dance

Groups are organised by age, from 3-year-olds to adults and a senior group for over-50s. The school has 350 square metres of facilities, with two studios of 75 and 100 square metres fitted with sprung dance floors. Registration for the 2026-27 course is open, and a summer programme (Thaïs Summer) ran from 29 June to 31 July 2026.
