The Centre Superior d’Art Dramàtic de Vic (CADVIC) is a new higher drama school in Vic, in central Catalonia (province of Barcelona). It offers the Grau en Ensenyaments Artístics Superiors d’Art Dramàtic, a degree-level qualification in Drama regulated by the Spanish Ministry of Education and authorised by the Catalan education department. According to the school, until 2025 only two centres in Catalonia, both in Barcelona, offered this qualification.
The four-year programme has two specialities: Interpretació (Acting) and Direcció Escènica i Dramatúrgia (Stage Directing and Playwriting). Groups are small: 12 students in Acting and 4 in Directing and Playwriting per intake. Classes run from 9:00 to 15:00, and Directing students can take an external work placement as an elective in the final year. Teaching takes place mainly in the rehearsal rooms of L’Atlàntida, the performing arts centre of Osona.
Admission requires the Bachillerato or equivalent studies (or a certificate of the access test for applicants without it) and passing a specific entrance exam regulated by the education authorities.
