FUA, Florence University of the Arts

Florence University of the Arts (FUA) is a private institution in Florence, Italy, offering English-taught study abroad programmes since 1997. Originally focused on hospitality and food studies, it now has two locations, Florence and Cinque Terre (with a site in La Spezia), and nine academic divisions ranging from the liberal arts to design and health sciences. The curriculum follows a US model, and classes are held in six buildings in the historic centre of Florence.

Study abroad sessions run in autumn, spring and summer and combine coursework with experiential learning or internships. Certificate, associate's, bachelor's and master's degrees are offered by FUA's partner institution, The American University of Florence (AUF). FUA also designs faculty-led and group programmes and non-credit enrichment programmes. US and Canadian applicants need a minimum GPA of 2.75, fluent English and a high school diploma or equivalent.
