Gresol International-American School

Gresol International-American School is a private American international school on the road from Sabadell to Matadepera (km 6) in Terrassa, in the Vallès area near Barcelona, set in a natural environment. It is an authorised foreign private school registered in the Official Journal of the Generalitat de Catalunya (code 08077681). The former Gresol school was bought in 2016 by a Spanish education group and converted into an international school with English as the main language of instruction. Gresol has been an authorised IB World School for the Diploma Programme since 2019 and is accredited by Cognia (2020); it is also an Oxford Test of English centre.

The school has one class per year group, with a maximum of 20 pupils per class, and teaching is based on English immersion, learning by doing and project-based learning. Young pupils learn to swim, take part in sports and music and study at least four languages.

Enrolment is open all year when places are available, although some classes for 2026-27 and 2027-28 have waiting lists. Communication with families is bilingual in English and Spanish, so parents do not need to speak English.

Admission Requirements

Enrolment is open all year, subject to places in the requested year group; some classes for 2026-27 and 2027-28 are full and have waiting lists. There is currently no entrance exam, although the school says one will be introduced soon. Families can request a personal visit on any day of the year, and parents do not need to speak English, as communication is in English and Spanish.
