Harding University is a private Christian liberal arts university in Searcy, Arkansas (United States). Its history as a senior college dates back to 1924, and it has been on its present site since 1934. It has nearly 5,000 students from 47 US states and more than 60 countries and territories, with a student-faculty ratio of 16:1 and an average class size of 22. Faith is part of campus life, with daily chapel.

Alongside undergraduate majors, minors and certificates, with a common core curriculum for all students, Harding offers more than 40 graduate and professional programmes online, hybrid or on campus, from nursing, pharmacy and physical therapy to business, education and theology. Students can spend a semester at its own study abroad programmes in Greece, Florence, Europe, Latin America, Australasia and Zambia.

International students are supported by an International Student Services Office. Undergraduate and graduate applicants whose first language is not English need TOEFL 550 (iBT 70) or IELTS 6.0. Federal financial aid is not available to international students, although some may qualify for private loans or university scholarships.

Admission Requirements

  • Online application with a non-refundable $50 fee and a confidential reference
  • Foreign transcripts evaluated through IEE (myiee.org)
  • TOEFL or IELTS scores if English is not the official language
  • Copy of passport
  • A $1,000 deposit, credited to first-semester tuition and refundable if the student cannot attend; the I-20 is issued after acceptance
  • Deadlines: 1 June for the fall semester (documents by 1 July) and 1 October for spring (documents by 1 November)

Language Requirements

Undergraduate and graduate international students must present TOEFL 550 (paper) or 70 (iBT), or IELTS 6.0. Scores must be sent directly by the testing centre.
