Home Language International - UK

Home Language International (HLI) organises full-immersion language courses in which students live in their private teacher's home. It offers about 20 languages in more than 30 countries, has over 40 years of experience and is part of LSI Education. HLI states that it is ASIC Premier accredited, and its office is in London.

Students take 10, 15, 20, 25 or 30 hours a week of one-to-one lessons with their teacher, eat three meals a day with the family and use the language throughout their stay. Teachers have a university degree and at least two years' teaching experience and/or a teaching qualification; HLI's local organisers check their qualifications and inspect their homes. Some teachers also have knowledge of fields such as business, computing, engineering or tourism.
