Idep Barcelona is an independent private school of fashion, photography and visual communication in central Barcelona, founded in 1981. It is associated with the Universitat Abat Oliba CEU (UAO), which endorses all of its programmes and issues its qualifications. Teaching is practical and project-based, in small groups, and all teachers work in the creative industries. The school has more than 2,000 m² of facilities in the city centre.
- Título UAO: four-year programmes leading to a UAO own degree (título propio), such as Diseño e Imagen de Moda
- Master's and postgraduate programmes (Másters de Formación Permanente and Diplomas de Especialización), nine months, in person, in the afternoon and evening
- IdepPRO courses and workshops, from three-week intensives to specialisation courses
All classes are taught in Spanish. Título UAO programmes start in the last week of September, postgraduate courses in the second half of October, and IdepPRO courses have two intakes, in February and July. The admission procedure and fees are the same for Spanish and international students; students from outside the EU taking a course of more than three months need a student visa.

Programmes
The main programme is the Título UAO, a four-year course leading to an own degree (título propio) of the Universitat Abat Oliba CEU, for example in Diseño e Imagen de Moda (fashion design and image). Idep also offers studies in photography and visual communication. Classes are in Spanish and start in the last week of September.
Graduate programmes
Idep offers Másters de Formación Permanente and Diplomas de Especialización, endorsed by the UAO. They are nine-month, in-person programmes held in the afternoon and evening, so they can be combined with work. In fashion, subjects include styling, costume, fashion management, pattern making and fashion design. Postgraduate courses start in the second half of October.
Admission
- Título UAO (four years): PAU results, a higher vocational qualification (Ciclo Formativo de Grado Superior) or the university entrance exam for over-25s, plus an ID card, NIE or passport
- Master's and postgraduate programmes: a university degree (or proof of completion); a portfolio for advanced or specialisation programmes
- Advanced professional courses: a portfolio
Applications are reviewed by an admissions committee and industry professionals. The procedure and fees are the same for international students. Non-EU students on courses longer than three months need a Spanish student visa.
