The Università Vita-Salute San Raffaele (UniSR, Vita-Salute San Raffaele University) is a university in Milan, Italy, established in 1996. It began with Psychology, added Medicine in 1998 and Philosophy in 2002, and today has three faculties: Medicine and Surgery, Psychology and Philosophy. It is closely linked to the San Raffaele Research Hospital and belongs to the Gruppo Ospedaliero San Donato, so students take part in clinical placements and research.
Besides its Italian-taught degrees, UniSR offers programmes taught in English:
- International Medical Doctor Program (six-year single-cycle degree in medicine)
- MSc Biotechnology for Innovative Therapeutics
- MSc Health Informatics
- MSc Cognitive Psychology in Health Communication
- Politics, Philosophy and Public Affairs
The International MD Program is recognised by the World Health Organization, the UK General Medical Council and the US ECFMG, according to the university. Postgraduate options include master's programmes, health specialisation schools, PhD programmes and a clinical fellowship programme. The campus has student residences, the university offers financial aid, and international students can also use YesMilano, the city's support hub for international students run with the Municipality of Milan and the Chamber of Commerce.
