Politecnico di Milano is a public science and technology university in Milan, Italy, that trains engineers, architects and industrial designers. It dates back to 1863 and describes itself as Italy's largest science-technology university. Besides its two Milan campuses, Leonardo and Bovisa, it has campuses in Cremona, Lecco, Mantova and Piacenza, and in Xi'an.
Teaching is organised in four schools:
- Architecture, Urban Planning and Construction Engineering
- Design
- Civil, Environmental and Land Management Engineering
- Industrial and Information Engineering
Programmes follow the Italian system of the Laurea (equivalent to a BSc), the Laurea Magistrale (equivalent to an MSc) and single-cycle degrees. A wide range of degree programmes is taught entirely in English, and the university offers exchange and double degree opportunities. High-level training includes the Alta Scuola Politecnica, run with Politecnico di Torino, and several honours programmes. Research is closely linked to industry through experimental research and technology transfer.
The university has halls of residence in Milan, Lecco, Como and Cremona; rooms can be booked at full rate or at a reduced rate through the DSU (Diritto allo Studio) calls, and scholarships are available to reduce the cost of studies.

Politecnico di Milano has university halls of residence in Milan, Lecco, Como and Cremona, shared by Italian and international students. Places can be requested at a reduced rate through the DSU (Diritto allo Studio) calls or booked at full rate, and there are separate procedures for PhD candidates, visiting PhD students, professors and researchers, and students with disabilities.
