Lighthouse American School is an American school in Valdemarín, in the north-west of Madrid, at Camino de la Zarzuela 42. It is accredited by NEASC (New England Association of Schools and Colleges) and follows the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP). The school teaches Kindergarten and Elementary classes.
Day-to-day life at the school is conducted in English, and the school states that all teachers are American and accredited by US universities. Spanish receives particular attention, and Chinese is taught as a third language from the 3rd year of Elementary. According to the school, its studies are validated by the Community of Madrid (CAM), so that students can continue at Spanish universities, while the NEASC accreditation gives access to American universities.
