Lincoln School is an independent Quaker girls' school in Providence, Rhode Island, whose Quaker values have shaped its teaching since 1884. It teaches girls from kindergarten to grade 12, while its early learning programmes are co-educational. Its mission is to educate girls to embrace the opportunities and responsibilities of full citizenship, guided by the Quaker principles of simplicity, peace, integrity, community, equality and stewardship.

  • Little School and Early Childhood (co-ed, 6 weeks to pre-K)
  • Lower School (kindergarten to grade 5)
  • Middle School (grades 6 to 8)
  • Upper School (grades 9 to 12)

Classes are small. Partnership programmes include an introduction to engineering taught at Brown University, an architecture course with the Rhode Island School of Design, a leadership programme with Bryant University and biology work at the Marine Biological Laboratory in Woods Hole; every Upper School grade also takes a fully funded multi-day immersive trip each year. Tuition from kindergarten to grade 12 includes lunch, field trips and class retreats, and need-based financial aid is available. Lincoln accepts international high-school-aged girls who need an I-20 visa document; it is not a boarding school, but a partner organisation arranges homestays. The priority application deadline for 2027-28 entry is 15 January 2027.
