The Lycée Français de Madrid (LFM) is a French school directly managed by the AEFE, the agency for French education abroad. It is homologated by the French Ministry of Education and recognised by the Spanish Ministry of Education, and it has been part of Madrid's school landscape for 140 years. The LFM teaches more than 4,300 pupils, from nursery to the final year of secondary school, with about 300 teachers.
The school has two campuses: Conde de Orgaz (Plaza del Liceo, Madrid), from Toute Petite Section (age 2) to Terminale, and La Moraleja (Camino Ancho, Alcobendas), from Toute Petite Section to 3ème. Teaching follows the official programmes of the French Ministry of Education in a bicultural French-Spanish setting.

- Lycée, leading to the French Baccalauréat
In the Lycée, students can follow the general section, a European section in Spanish and English or the Spanish international section, and from Première the trilingual or quadrilingual Baccalauréat Français International (BFI). Applications for both campuses are made on one online platform; placement in a year group depends on an assessment of the pupil, and a first-enrolment fee is payable on admission.

Parents apply on the LFM online portal, choosing one campus only (Conde de Orgaz or La Moraleja). The application covers all levels and includes the child's current schooling, details of both parents or guardians and supporting documents, and is signed electronically by both. The school replies by email; placement in a year group depends on an assessment of the pupil, and the first-enrolment fee must then be paid. Children can start Toute Petite Section once they have turned two.
