The Lycée Français International de Palma is a French school in Palma (Mallorca), at Carrer Illes Balears 142A. French education in Palma began in 1966 on the initiative of French families; the school was approved by the Spanish Ministry of Education in 1977 and by the French Ministry of Education in 1979. Since 2008 it has been managed by the Mission Laïque Française, an association that runs French schools around the world. Its upper secondary classes (2nde, 1ère and Terminale) were accredited in 2009, and the school is an exam centre for the French baccalauréat.
The school follows the French system from age 3 to 18, with year groups matched to the Spanish system:
- Infantil / maternelle (ages 3-5)
- Primary (ages 6-10)
- Collège, equivalent to ESO (ages 11-14)
- Lycée, leading to the French baccalauréat (ages 15-18), with the international option (BFI) announced for 2026-27
Teaching is multilingual, and the school provides information on Spanish homologation, exams and certifications. To enrol, families complete an online pre-registration, send the registration file with supporting documents to the school office and pay the registration fee; places are confirmed within the limits of availability.
