Masaryk University (MU) is a university in Brno, Czechia. Its Centre for International Cooperation (CZS MU) coordinates the university's international activities: it administers exchange placements for students and staff, maintains bilateral links with foreign universities and runs English-language short-term and semester programmes and summer schools. MU takes part in the Utrecht Network, the Compostela Group of Universities and ISEP. According to the university, about a thousand exchange students come to MU every year.
Exchange (non-degree) students can come through several schemes:
- Erasmus+ Europe and Erasmus+ ICM
- Partner university agreements
- ISEP and CEEPUS
- Freemover study
- Central European Studies Programme (CESP)
For full degree study, faculties including Medicine, Science, Arts, Education, Pharmacy, Economics and Administration, Informatics and Social Studies admit international applicants, for example to the long-cycle master's programmes in General Medicine and Dentistry. The academic year starts in September and has an autumn and a spring semester; some faculties also allow a February start, and application deadlines differ by faculty. Exchange students are usually housed in the university's halls of residence, run by its Accommodation and Catering Services (SKM MU).

Housing
Masaryk University's Accommodation and Catering Services (SKM MU) run the university's canteens and halls of residence. International exchange students are usually housed in the Vinařská, Komárov-Sladkého or Kounicova halls. Other halls offered to international students are Tvrdého, Klácelova, Nám. Míru and Mánesova.
