Palacký University Olomouc (Univerzita Palackého v Olomouci) is a university in Olomouc, in the Moravia region of the Czech Republic. Founded in 1573, it is the oldest university in Moravia. Olomouc is a student city: according to the university, every fourth resident is a student, and students come from more than 100 countries.

The university has eight faculties: Theology, Medicine, Arts, Science, Education, Physical Culture, Law and Health Sciences. It offers programmes taught in English at bachelor's, master's and doctoral level, and its research centres and institutes cover the natural sciences, medicine, the humanities, social sciences and law. Each year nearly 2,000 international students come to Olomouc, many through Erasmus+ and the university's bilateral agreements with universities around the world. Studies include internships, field trips and compulsory placements, and international students can apply for specific funding.

The university has dormitories with 4,800 beds on two campuses, next to the faculties, with rooms from about 95 EUR per month; private flats and rooms are also available in the city. Student life includes more than 40 student clubs and organisations. Admission enquiries go to the Admissions Office at [email protected].
