The University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice (Jihočeská univerzita v Českých Budějovicích, JU) is a university in the city of České Budějovice in the south of the Czech Republic. It has eight faculties and, according to the university, offers around 220 fields of study.

Programmes are offered at bachelor's level (typically three years), follow-on master's level (two years) and doctoral level (four years), in full-time or combined study. Most are taught in Czech, but some are offered in English, for example Applied Physics, Archaeology, Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, Biochemistry and Biological Chemistry. The university also runs lifelong learning courses for all age groups. Together with ten other European universities it is building the KreativEU alliance, which offers joint courses, mobility and projects across Europe. Student societies and a new sports complex are part of campus life, and applications are made online through the university's e-application.
