Mid Vermont Christian School (MVCS) is a private Christian school in Vermont, in the United States, for students from preschool through grade 12. It has been teaching since 1987, is accredited by the Association of Christian Schools International and is recognised as a Vermont Approved Independent School. Its facilities stand on about ten acres, with a gymnasium, a soccer field and a playground for the elementary grades.

Teaching is Christ-centred and follows a biblical framework, in small classes. The programme combines academics, arts, athletics and co-curricular activities, and students learn in self-contained classrooms with their own class teachers. MVCS also works with homeschooling families:

  • Semester-long, 80-minute classes for junior and senior high students
  • Online and dual-enrollment courses for high school students, earning high school and college credit
  • Thursday afternoon enrichment classes for homeschooled children from kindergarten to grade 5

Full tuition for the 2026-27 school year ranges from US$12,000 (preschool to grade 6) to US$18,000 (grades 9 to 12). A need-based variable tuition model sets what each family pays according to income, assets and household size; the school gives the average tuition per student as US$6,200. Fees

Full tuition for full-time students, 2026-27 school year:

  • Preschool to grade 6: US$12,000
  • Grades 7 and 8: US$14,000
  • Grades 9 to 12: US$18,000

Enrolment fee for 2026-27: US$78. Paying in full by 1 August gives a 4% discount, paying in two instalments (1 August and 1 January) a 2% discount; ten monthly payments are also possible, plus an annual FACTS Management fee. Need-based variable tuition reduces these amounts for many families.

Financial Aid

MVCS uses a need-based variable tuition model for full-time, in-person students: the amount a family pays depends on its income, assets and household size, and the school gives the average tuition per student as US$6,200. There is no sibling discount, but the assessment takes several children into account. Families apply through the online Clarity financial aid application after their child has been accepted; applications received before 30 April receive equal consideration. Families are also expected to apply for any Vermont or New Hampshire subsidies they qualify for.
