The New York Film Academy (NYFA) is a college of film, media and performing arts, founded in 1992. It has campuses in New York City, Los Angeles (in Burbank) and Florence, Italy, and runs short-term workshops at satellite locations in Cambridge, Massachusetts (at Harvard University), Paris and Beijing. Teaching follows a hands-on, project-based approach, and according to NYFA its student body is split evenly between domestic and international students.
- Bachelor's (BFA), master's (MFA, MA) and associate (AFA) degrees with an accelerated, project-based curriculum
- Master of Science in Cinematic AI for Film and Media, a one-year, 36-credit degree in Los Angeles
- One- and two-year non-degree conservatory programmes
- Workshops of 1 to 15 weeks, on campus or online
- Workshops and summer camps for teens (14-17) and children (10-13)
The admissions team advises international, veteran and transfer applicants. In New York, NYFA offers student housing in Brooklyn Heights in partnership with Educational Housing Services; in Los Angeles there are no dormitories, but the housing department helps students find apartments; in Florence, optional dormitory-style rooms are arranged in a facility managed by B&B Hotels.

Housing
- New York: single and shared double rooms in a residence in Brooklyn Heights, run with Educational Housing Services, about 15 minutes by subway from campus; no meal plan, but a shared kitchen; housing is billed by semester and paid 30 days before move-in
- Los Angeles: no dormitories; the housing department helps students find apartments near the Burbank campus, which the school says range from about $1,700 to $2,800 per month unfurnished
- Florence: optional single or double rooms, subject to availability, in a dormitory-type facility run by B&B Hotels Italy, breakfast included
