Oxford Scholastica Academy

Language school, English courses in Oxford, The United Kingdom

Oxford Scholastica Academy is an education company that runs academic summer schools in the city of Oxford and online for students aged 12 to 18. The programmes take place in Oxford but are run independently and are not affiliated with the University of Oxford or other universities. Oxford Scholastica is accredited as a short course provider by the British Accreditation Council (BAC) and received the King's Award for Enterprise in 2023.

The summer school combines small-group teaching (a maximum of 15 students per class) with academic challenges, masterclasses and cultural activities. Courses last two weeks; for 2027 the sessions run from 4 to 17 July, 18 to 31 July and 1 to 14 August. Tutors are academics with degrees from universities such as Oxford and Cambridge, and subjects taught include medicine, engineering, business, law, psychology and neuroscience, computer science, creative writing and international relations. Participants receive a letter of recommendation and a certificate of achievement.

Students stay in Oxford college rooms, as the school uses Oxford University facilities while remaining separate from the university. Staff include full-time team members, activities coordinators and matrons. According to the school, more than 10,000 students from over 85 countries have taken part.
