The Pontificia Universidad Javeriana is a Catholic higher-education institution in Bogotá, Colombia, founded and run by the Society of Jesus (the Jesuits). Its main campus is on Carrera 7 No. 40-62, and in 2026 the university marked 96 years since its re-establishment. It has 21,175 students and 3,435 professors.

Programmes are organised in faculties that range from architecture and design, arts, sciences, economics and business, law and engineering to medicine, nursing, dentistry, psychology, philosophy and theology. The university offers:

  • Undergraduate degrees (pregrados)
  • Specialisations and master's degrees, including many medical specialisations
  • Doctorates
  • Ecclesiastical programmes
  • Technical vocational training (técnico laboral) and continuing education

For international students, the university has an office for mobility, exchanges, research stays and double degrees, with a dedicated contact for incoming foreign students. It also has a language centre and a master's degree in applied linguistics of Spanish as a foreign language. Students have access to financial support, scholarships and discounts, and to campus life services for arts and culture, health, sport and spirituality.

A donations programme also helps students with financial difficulties continue their studies.
